From 24th to 28th June, the representative of the United States National Institute of Health (NIH), Keith Romwall, was in Fiotec with the goal of auditing the execution processes of the project “Clinical Analysis for HIV/AIDS Therapy and Prevention”, financed by NIH. The project’s analyst, Vânia Santos, and its accountability manager, Eduardo Diek, were responsible for presenting and clarifying all the processes regarding the audit.
The topics under analysis were: project financial management; document archive management; human resources management; heritage; budget control; public access to information; acquisitions and hiring; consultancy; electronic system management analysis (SAP); input of financial resources; auditing and internal control, among others.
The project is coordinated by the directorship of the Evandro Chagas National Infectiology Institute (INI/Fiocruz), Valdiléa Veloso. The NIH is the world’s largest biomedical research center and one of the main sponsors of Fiocruz projects.
