Today, developing actions to promote scientific and technological events regarding immunobiological products is one of the main activities of the Instituto de Tecnologia em Imunobiológicos (Bio-Manguinhos), with the goal of favoring the synergy required to consolidate collaborative networks of scientific and technological research, both nationally and internationally. Its current work plan is mainly due to the fact that Bio-Manguinhos is an internationally acknowledged unit, exporting its surplus production to more than 70 countries.

The actions proposed by the project aim to supply drugs in international health programs, to promote interchange of experience, technical-scientific events, partnerships and cooperation projects. Some of the events that stand out are the International Symposiums of Immunobiological Products, which take place every 5 years (the first was held in 2006), in addition to annual scientific and technological seminars on immunobiological products.
