Fiotec project, aimed at the inclusion of people with disabilities is released - Fiotec

On May 18th, 19th and 21st PCD sensitization workshops were held, the first event developed by Conviver Project. The meetings were attended by representatives of the Empreender Institute, Fiotec partner in the event. "Our goal was to inform about disability, work myths, paradigms, stereotypes and relationship tips with people with disabilities," said Flávia Xavier, responsible for the project.
The workshops discussed various aspects surrounding the difficulties faced by disabled people, all with one thing in common: the need for a change of attitude in relation to them. One should not feel sorry for a wheelchair user, a deaf or blind person. One should see in everyone the ability to overcome difficulties, like anyone else.
On the last day of workshops, a couple of blind people made a presentation and played great classics of our music and also their own compositions. The boys found in the Empreender Institute the tools to develop their talents and overcome the difficulties arising from the disability. This will be one of Fiotec’s goals this year, when it will move to a new headquarters: a building prepared to employ more employees with disabilities willing to show what they can do.
The Conviver project
The Conviver project was recently created by the collaborator Flávia Xavier, and was officially launched during the workshops. "We need to meet the quota stipulated by law, but above all, we need to prepare ourselves to welcome people with disabilities in an environment without prejudices, without physical, psychological and communication obstacles", said Flavia.
Other inclusive activities will take place from the project creation. One of them will be conducting the Brazilian Sign Language course (Libras).
Partnership
Since 2012 Fiotec is a partner of the Empreender Institute, by supporting EnterJovem Plus program. It is an employability methodology, through the social and professional qualification of young people who need effective collaboration to be qualified and be ready to dispute an opening on the work market.
