Recently, the results obtained by Fiotec with the implementation of the GoTo platform had a wide repercussion in several specialized portals. The institution reduced in 20% the phone system expenses, as it no longer depends on the physical location. The change was motivated by the adoption of remote working due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and now offers the foundation professionals more flexibility in their work routine.

“When the pandemic began, the employees had to use their home phones to work but depended on the office landline. We had issue with the operator’s service, which once went 48 hours without working, in addition to the physical PABX infrastructure, which demanded complex maintenance, specially to find parts of the devices that needed to be replaced,” says Ricardo Speroto, Infrastructure coordinator at Fiotec.

Chosen by the institution, GoTo Connect is a platform that gathers a cloud phone system, video conferencing, chats and other communication resources and unified collaboration, all in one application. Thus, the Fiotec professionals based in Rio de Janeiro and Brasília could work remotely without risking their operations and relationship to suppliers and partners of Fiocruz.

“The GoTo solution was the most appropriate to serve our needs. It is simple to use and managed to minimize the resistance of users in using new technologies. Since the implementation of the platform in the beginning of 2021, the phone service management became centralized and we no longer had any trouble or issue,” reinforces Speroto.

Alongside the implementation of GoTo, Fiotec also provided the employees with mobile devices to be used for work. The movement contributed to the easy use of the application, making phone calls possible from anywhere.
