The Fiotec website has been visited more than 5.5 million times in its almost 13 years - Fiotec

5.5 millions. This is the total number of accesses to the Fiotec portal since July 2010. During this same period, different sections and areas of the site have been accessed more than 14 million times. The milestone of 2.5 million single visits is expected to be reached next week.

The last large update to Fiotec’s official website took place in 2019, when it was improved and equipped with new accessibility tools. Users with hearing deficiencies can now use the help of VLibras, which translates the Portuguese content into Libras, the Brazilian Sign Language. Changes to improve browsing in the page have also been made, making shortcut links even more visible and changing the contrast used to display information on job opportunities as well as titles in the home page and foot notes. According to AccessMonitor, the Federal Government’s accessibility evaluator, in 2022 these changes made Fiotec’s website jump from 6 to 9.4 points in the accessibility level.

With a simple layout and well-organized contents, Fiotec’s portal brings together all main information regarding the institution, from its organizational structure to the services provided to Fiocruz and to the Brazilian society as a whole.
