In June, Fiotec headquarters received the visit of representatives of projects selected in the second phase of the Call for proposals to Support Emergency Actions to Combat Covid-19 in Rio de Janeiro’s Favelas. More than R$ 9 million will be transferred until August 2024, covering initiatives in communities in the capital and in the municipalities of Angra dos Reis, Barra Mansa, Cabo Frio, Campos dos Goytacazes, Cardoso Moreira, Duque de Caxias, Itaboraí, Itaperuna, Macaé, Magé, Mangaratiba, Maricá, Niterói, Nova Friburgo, Nova Iguaçu, Paraty, Petrópolis, Piraí, Quatis, Queimados, Resende, São Gonçalo, São João de Meriti, Seropédica and Volta Redonda.
The leaders of organizations convened were received by Fiotec and Fiocruz professionals involved in the management of the Call. Igor Araújo, Fiotec’s Project Analyst, says that “the presentation made served to explain the subsequent stages of the process, from enabling the Pacto System to make the first payment and entering into force of the terms of agreement”. Pacto System, a tool developed by Fiotec itself, will be the platform used for signing the terms of agreement, final rendering of accounts, closing terms and, when necessary, amendments. Thus, the management and monitoring of projects is performed in a fully automated way.
The presentation continued with technical information on project management, with definitions on reports and opinions to be presented periodically. The communication between the teams involved was also addressed, in addition to the dynamics adopted for hiring personnel and transferring amounts to the coordination of each selected initiative.
In addition to Igor, Fiotec was represented on the occasion by the Project manager Maria Aparecida Ferreira; the coordinator of the institution's office in Brasília, Yonara Silva; and analysts Flávia Freitas and Cristianfari Alles. Richarlls Martins, coordinator of the Call, and Valber Frutuoso represented Fiocruz’s team involved in the project, together with Patricia Pereira and Bruna Ramos.
