ABCR Festival: Fiotec’s professionals participate in the biggest event for fundraising in Latin America - Fiotec

In its 15th edition, the ABCR (Associação Brasileira de Captadores de Recursos - Brazilian Association of Fundraisers) Festival, biggest conference for fundraising of the Latin America and one of the main ones in the world, was held on July 3rd and 4th, in São Paulo, in face-to-face format. Paula Mayor, Mônica Assis and Rafaela Delduque, from the Projects team, represented Fiotec at the event.

Once Fiocruz's fundraising office and Fiotec are getting closer and participating together in fundraising for research projects of national and global importance, the participation of the foundation in the event added new experiences and knowledge for an increasingly efficient follow-up.

“This meeting made it possible to learn about the experience of several civil society organizations in fundraising processes, involving issues such as the approach directed at donors/funding organizations, the importance of simple, objective communication aimed at specific audiences, as well as the innovative tools that help throughout this process, built through artificial intelligence”, explained Paula.

Among several enriching lectures, the professionals were also able to follow the panel “Fundraising with justice and government sharing experiences of the United Fund against Covid-19, of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation”, conducted by the Fiocruz fundraising office, through Lorena Ferreira Martins and Luiza Andrea Moraes Cardoso.

“The lecturers emphasized the importance of the partnership between Fiotec and Fiocruz as essential for the performance of strategic projects as this one. It was very gratifying to see part of Fiotec's work being mentioned along with Fiocruz's in an event of this size”, says Paula Mayor.
