Fiotec and Fiocruz teams meet to discuss diversity and inclusion - Fiotec

With the aim of bringing institutions even closer together and evaluating the feasibility of joint agendas, Fiotec's Governance, Sustainability and ESG Management met on May 8 with Fiocruz's Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Affirmative Practices Coordination, Cedipa. For around two hours, the foundations presented what has already been done by each one, in a great exchange of experiences.

Represented on the occasion by Fátima Loroza, Flavia Paixão and Marina Maria, Cedipa was created with the aim of implementing actions that ensure the implementation of Fiocruz's institutional policies for equity, diversity, inclusion and affirmative policies, recognizing the plurality of the institution as a value. This purpose of action speaks directly to the goals of Fiotec's ESG Management, which is responsible for multiplying the values practiced at Fiocruz for the actions of its support foundation.

Created in March 2023, Cedipa is today coordinated by Hilda da Silva Gomes and operates based on enhancing and strengthening the dimensions present in confronting racism, ableism, chauvinism, misogyny, xenophobia, LGBTIphobia and different gender-based violence and violations that compromise people's right to life.

Luanara Damasceno, Governance, Sustainability and ESG manager at Fiotec, highlighted Cedipa's intense work since its creation, according to her, the result of a group that brings together professionals with vast experience in diversity, equity and inclusion issues. “The meeting provided us with contact with the knowledge, practice and lessons learned gathered during this period of activity. This set of knowledge is already being applied to the actions planned in the Implementation project of our Sustainability/ESG Program and we also intend to create an agenda together”.
