The last few weeks at Fiotec were dedicated to sharing experiences and exchanging knowledge. The institution received representatives from three partner support foundations at its headquarters: the Coordination Foundation for Projects, Research and Technological Studies (Coppetec), linked to Coppe/UFRJ; the Arthur Bernardes Foundation (Funarbe), linked to the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV); and the Support Foundation for the Development of Scientific Computing (FACC), which provides support to several scientific and technological institutions (ICTs) and federal universities.
At the end of last month, on June 26th, members from Fiotec's Administrative, Financial and Accounting management received Coppetec's financial team for a benchmarking session that discussed the processes and tools used by foundations in their financial activities. Led by its manager, Alexandre Valinoti, and by the Accounts Receivable coordinator, Simone Faceroli, the host team covered in detail the use of SAP in data integration and the relationship maintained by Fiotec with the main banking institutions here in Brazil. "We were able to share details about our direct work with banks' exchange desks, providing broad competition in operations, without intermediary costs from brokers," adds Gabriela Soido, an exchange analyst who was also present at the meeting.
A few days later, on July 1st, the conversation with Funarbe representatives focused on the billing process adopted at Fiotec. The meeting was used to discuss the issuance of sales and shipping notes, as well as operations involving foreign exchange and the necessary accounting records.
Also, at the beginning of July, on the 3rd, it was the turn of FACC representatives to visit Fiotec's facilities. Claudia Peixoto, from the legal team, and Washington Gutemberg, Coordinator of National Procurement and Services, assisted visitors with aspects related to the National Public Procurement Portal (PNCP). The page is widely used in the day-to-day activities of Fiotec's Purchasing teams, as it is one of the obligations brought by the current Bidding Law (no. 14,133/2021).
