Fiotec was one of the organizations participating in the meeting of the Special Study Committee on Environmental, Social and Governance – ESG, ABNT/CEE-256. The group is made up of specialists, representatives of civil society and institutions, and aims to prepare and review technical documents of Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas [Brazilian Association of Technical Standards] itself. At this last meeting, on September 25, Fiotec was represented by its Governance, Sustainability and ESG manager, Luanara Damasceno. The institution is the only support foundation to be part of the Committee.

Among the main issues discussed during the meeting were the guidelines given to organizations regarding the Recommended Practices ABNT PR 2030-1 and PR 2030-2, scheduled to be published by the end of the year. Luanara explains that recommended practices (RP) are normative documents of more agile elaboration, bringing together the technical content in a more didactic way and its practical application in a more accessible approach and language than is usually seen in technical standards documents.

"As the only support foundation to have a representative in the group, our participation allows us to give voice and offer the vision of third sector institutions, especially support foundations, for this agenda", emphasizes the manager.
