Enfasud brings together representatives of support foundations in Campinas/SP - Fiotec

Once again, Fiotec was represented at the Meeting of Support Foundations of the Southeast (Enfasud), hosted this year by Fundação de Desenvolvimento da Unicamp [Unicamp Development Foundation] (Funcamp). The 3rd edition of the event took place on September 23 and 24, bringing together about 170 participants including managers, legal advisors and employees from institutions across the country.

"It is very important to bring a greater understanding of the activities of the foundations," said the executive director of Funcamp, Orival Andries Júnior. Next to him at the opening table of the event were Maria Luiza Moretti, general coordinator of Unicamp and acting dean; Antônio Gonçalves de Oliveira Filho, director of Institutional Relations at Funcamp; and Antônio Fernando Queiroz, president of Conselho Nacional das Fundações de Apoio às Instituições de Ensino Superior e de Pesquisa Científica e Tecnológica [National Council of Foundations to Support Higher Education and Scientific and Technological Research Institutions] (Confies).

In his speech, Antônio Fernando pointed out the importance of events such as Enfasud for the strengthening of support foundations, since essential issues for the daily life of the institutions are discussed in them. "This is also an occasion for the standardization of conduct, as a shield of protection for support foundations and their leaders."

Throughout the program, were discussed the capture of projects and accountability; innovation and economy in relations with foundations; endowment funds, tax reform; national and international purchases; in addition to panels on good practices in compliance and governance, leadership and behavior. According to Andries Júnior, the topics addressed were defined based on a survey carried out with the foundations. "This caused a lot of interest and, despite being regional, there are people from all over Brazil. It was necessary to increase the structure to receive everyone."

Less than four months ago at Fiotec, the Integrity and Compliance analyst, Mariana Pecci, participated in her first integration event between support foundations. "This was a great opportunity to learn more about the third sector and the development of the Integrity and Compliance area in foundations. Many still do not have an established team and we are creating actions to stay close and exchange experiences with those who already have the theme under development", she commented. Alongside Mariana, Fiotec was also represented by the institution's technical director, Vanessa Costa; the Projects professionals, Yonara Silva, Natalia Salvador and Gabriela Silva; in addition to Luanara Damasceno and Marianna Magalhães, respectively Governance, Sustainability and ESG, and Legal managers.
