Congress debates innovation in project management, with the participation of Fiotec - Fiotec

Fortaleza/CE hosted the 20th Brazilian Congress on Management, Projects and Leadership (CBGPL) promoted by the Project Management Institute (PMI) on April 22nd and 23rd. The event brought together professionals from all over the country to discuss trends and innovations in project management, leadership and strategy.

Fiotec brought professionals from its national and international project teams to the congress. During the program, the representatives organized themselves into small groups to attend the various lectures that were taking place simultaneously, with the aim of absorbing as much knowledge as possible and taking it back to the day-to-day operation of the institution.

Among the highlights of the program, the presentation by Marcelo Pelajo, a researcher at Fiocruz, highlighted the institution's scientific advances and the role of strategic planning in sustainable actions. Sérgio Nascimento, a project management consultant, brought a creative approach by presenting the use of Design Thinking and LEGO® Serious Play as tools for engagement and innovation.

Abiezer Lima, Zoho specialist at Kafnet Soluções em Tecnologia, shared a case study on the Zoho Projects platform in multidisciplinary projects, emphasizing the importance of integration and standardization. Ricardo Vargas, an experienced leader in global operations, discussed the impact of artificial intelligence on the future of work, reinforcing the need for a balance between technical and human skills.

Márcio Gomes, Head of the PMO at Caruaru/PE City Hall, presented the experience of managing São João de Caruaru 2024, highlighting practices aimed at sustainability, inclusion and social and economic results, while Carolina Latorre, PMI's regional director for Latin America, presented the M.O.R.E. model, which proposes a new approach to project success, based on the continuous delivery of value.

Fiotec analyst Aline Silva pointed out that the panel dedicated to artificial intelligence explored how AI is transforming project management, optimizing processes, supporting decision-making and anticipating risks. The discussions reinforced the need for professionals to adapt quickly to new technologies in order to remain competitive. For Sabrina Vieira, Aline's colleague in Fiotec's International Projects team, "the congress provided access to updated methodologies, as well as promoting exchanges between [Fiotec's] Projects teams, with a valuable exchange of experiences".

Sabrina also points out that the team's participation in the CBGPL reinforces their commitment to excellence, innovation and integrated action. The event represented a significant opportunity for technical improvement and strengthening of the strategic vision, contributing to alignment with best practices in project management and value generation for Fiotec.
