Fiotec's initiative, "Cafézinho com Fiteco" (Coffee with Fiteco), wins regional award from Aberje - Fiotec

Case was chosen in the "Ethics, Integrity and Compliance" category, among initiatives from the states of Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais.

Fiotec received excellent news at the end of the year. The institution won the regional award of the annual prize from the Brazilian Association of Business Communication (Aberje) with the initiative "Coffee with Fiteco: distribution of the pocket code of ethics". The award was in the Ethics, Integrity and Compliance category, for the Southeast region (Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais).

The initiative combined the institutional mascot, the work environment, and the code of ethics with a pagode group playing parodies created specifically for the occasion. The

Fiteco mascot was responsible for handing out the codes and entertaining the professionals, while the group sang throughout the Fiotec headquarters. The solution originated from the Integrity and Compliance Coordination (CIC) and involved the Institutional Communication Management (GCI) in the strategy and execution of the activities. “The project was born with the purpose of bringing the culture of integrity closer to people, using accessible communication, cultural elements, music, and proximity to transform an essential theme into something alive and present in everyday life,” explained the CIC coordinator, Abrahão Nepomuceno.

The strategy worked so well that it delighted not only the employees but also the award judges. "It was the first time we entered the Aberje award and we won on our first try. The award reaffirms our commitment to ethics, integration, and engagement across departments, which have been cornerstones of this administration, and, more than anything, shows that effective communication can be simple if done strategically. The coffee break wasn't a high-investment solution, but it was highly relevant because it truly impacted people," said Janaina Campos, Fiotec's communications manager.

Aberje Award For over 50 years, the award has recognized companies, institutions, media outlets, and professionals who excel in corporate communication.

“Receiving this award is a huge joy! This recognition shows that we are on the right track. I thank the Compliance team for their incredible work, the Executive Board for their support, the Communications team for their partnership, and all of Fiotec for embracing this initiative with so much enthusiasm. This award belongs to all of us. May it inspire us to continue with integrity, purpose, and a desire to make a difference,” Abrahão emphasized.

The regional stage has already been won, but the institution can still win the national stage. On November 6th, Abrahão and Janaina were in São Paulo to present their case to a panel of judges, competing for the national award in the category. The result will be announced on December 8th. "Just having the opportunity to present our case to several large companies and institutions, showcasing Fiotec's potential, is already a great achievement. We are ready for the national award, but very satisfied with this recognition and opportunity," concluded Janaina.
