Mothers assess the assistance provided by Stork Network, a project supported by Fiotec - Fiotec

images-noticias-rede cegonha-300x201The Ministry of Health launched, on May/15, an action to find out about the assessment of women who have given birth within the hospital network of the Unified Health System (SUS). The General Complaints Office of the agency is getting in touch with these mothers, who may give their opinion on the quality of services provided from discovering the pregnancy until birth, in addition to the medical follow-up of the child until two years of age. The action is unprecedented and is part of the strategy of the Stork Network, a project developed by Fernandes Figueira Institute (IFF/Fiocruz) and supported by Fiotec.

According to information available on the website of the Ministry of Health, 75 thousand women should receive a call from the Complaints Office, which will operate from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with a team of 40 people (divided into two shifts). The regions with the largest number of registrations are the Southeastern (55.65%), followed by the Northeastern (19.38%), Southern (16.78%), Northern (5.91%) and Midwestern (2.28%). The telephone numbers will be obtained from the Hospitalization Authorization (AIH) forms, an instrument used by the Ministry of Health to assess the actions and services of SUS.
