Greater requirements and responsibilities and emerging opportunities in new fields are now the principal characteristics of the world of work. Science and health are an integral part of this process, despite a lack of trained personnel, especially due to the absence of an adequate system of information and studies that address long-term scenarios and a policy for measuring, recruiting, training, valuing, and incentivizing human resources.
At the René Rachou Research Center (CPqRR/FIOCRUZ), or FIOCRUZ Minas, this reality is already changing, with programs, projects, and activities in training and qualifying human resources in research areas in public health and biomedicine, technological development, science and technology management, and reference services in health. The result of this effort for society is the maintenance of the FIOCRUZ quality standard in the production and dissemination of knowledge.
