This project refers to the commitment accepted by CETAB/Ensp/Fiocruz when participating in a meeting, in October 2015, sponsored by the FCTC Secretariat, to promote technical cooperation between countries of the southern hemisphere, providing technical information and giving support to the tobacco control public policies of the countries that participated in the 1st cooperation meeting for the development of a community of practices. The subjects under debate are matters related to legislation, regulation and building of processes to reduce the interference of the tobacco industry over control policies. Representatives of Colombia, Georgia, Guatemala, Jamaica, Panama, Peru, the Philippines and Thailand were present, and CETAB/Ensp/Fiocruz was chosen as focal point for the activities related to the interference of the tobacco industry.
