In another opportunity for integration and strengthening of the ecosystem of foundations in Brazil, on March 26 Fiotec participated in the event celebrating the 50th anniversary of Funcex, the Foreign Trade Studies Center Foundation. The program brought together members of the Federal Government, the third sector, and regulatory agencies in discussions addressing current geopolitical challenges and global outlooks for the coming years.

Alongside prosecutors from the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the State of Rio de Janeiro (MPRJ) and the representative of the Presidency of Fiocruz, Camile Giaretta, Fiotec was represented at the event by its Executive Director, Cristiane Sendim, accompanied by Marianna Camargo, the institution’s Legal Manager. According to the lawyer, the meeting was another opportunity to reaffirm the current moment of integration and strengthening of third-sector foundations. “Also highlighted by members of the MPRJ during the event discussions, Fiotec and other support foundations had their role recognized as extremely important also within the field of foreign trade and international negotiations,” she stated.

In addition to the opening panel, which brought together the President of Funcex, Antônio Carlos Pinheiro; Ana Paula Vescovi, founding member/trustee of Funcex; Carlos Henrique Moscardo, Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Carla Duarte, representative of the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, the event also featured in its program the International Foreign Trade and International Relations Forum, with panels discussing the current geopolitical scenario, economy, and institutional security.

The event also included tributes to former presidents and technical professionals for their careers at Funcex, as well as prominent figures in the field of Brazilian foreign trade.
