The online news portal of Jornal de Angola reported this Thursday (October 9th) a new partnership between Fiocruz and the Angolan Ministry of Health (Minsa), this time focused on training nearly 40,000 Angolan health professionals.

The new partnership between the health ministries of Brazil and Angola is once again supported by Fiotec, which brought representatives to the meeting that sealed the agreement in Luanda, the capital of the African country. According to information from the Angolan news portal, it was decided that 80% of the training activities will be carried out in Angola in a decentralized manner, serving all provinces of the country. While 20% of the training will take place in Brazil.

According to the portal, Fiocruz will offer in-person training, supporting local training initiatives and thus ensuring greater accuracy in relation to the needs of the Angolan population. The partnership with the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation is funded by the World Bank and will complement the Human Resources Training Plan in Health, which already benefits more than 11,000 professionals in the sector in Angola.
