On February 3 (Monday), the commemorative event Mobile Science 18 Years: Between Studies, Experiences and Experiences will be held at the Auditorium of the Fiocruz Museum of Life, from 9 am to 5 pm. The meeting is a celebration of the initiativ, which for almost two decades has taken the Museum to various corners of the country, promoting the democratization of knowledge and interaction between society, science and culture. The activity is free and a certificate of participation will be issued. Sign up and join this celebration.
The evemt Mobile Science 18 Anos: Between Studies, Experiences and Experiences will be packed with activities. The program includes the launch of the Mobile Science Memory Book. The virtual work brings together reports, images and stories that narrate the impact of the project from its creation in 2006 until it reaches the age of majority in 2024. The publication, which was organized by Fernanda França and Laís Viana and features graphic design and illustration by Caio Baldi, is one of the commemorative actions for the 25th anniversary of the Fiocruz Museum of Life.
The idea of making the book came when Ciência Móvel completed 15 years. "At the time, we held several commemorative activities, including a call for those who had already participated in Ciência Móvel, either as a coordinator or as a mediator, to talk a little about this experience. We collected very interesting things", explains Fabíola Mayrink, coordinator of the Itinerancy Service.
In addition to the launch of the work, the event will also be an opportunity to listen to the many voices that helped - or still help - to build this action. In the morning, there will be a presentation of academic works that were inspired by Ciência Móvel.
The afternoon will be dedicated to talking about experiences about working at the traveling museum. The idea is that participants willshare in person some stories that are already in the memoir and also get to know others
still unpublished. The moment will be one of dialogue and of encouragement for the construction of new transformative chapters of this success story.
"The expectation is that it will be an event full of affection and memories, some quite funny. We are also curious to know how those who have already been through the initiative are doing, to find out what they are doing and what was the differential that this experience at the Fiocruz Museum of Life, through Mobile Science, brought to their personal and professional lives", highlights Mayrink.
By the end of 2024, Ciência Móvel had visited 133 municipalities in the Southeast Region of the country, particularly locations with few culture facilities. In addition, it provided more than one million visitors with access to scientific and cultural content, stimulating the development of their own initiatives such as science fairs. The numbers are just some of the good reasons that the Fiocruz Museum of Life has to celebrate!
