In order to create a space for dialogue and identify opportunities for improvements in management, the Foundation for Scientific and Technological Development in Health (Fiotec) promoted the first integration workshop with the National Institute for Quality Control in Health (INCQS). Held on November 13, in the Sérgio Arouca auditorium of INCQS/Fiocruz, the event brought together the teams of the Technical Assistance for Institutional Projects (ATPI), technical coordinators, project supporters and managers to clarify doubts and strengthen the shared management of the unit's projects.

The meeting was structured in three moments, aimed at specific audiences: 1 - operational meeting between the Fiotec team and the ATPI of the INCQS; 2 – conversation circle about the role of Fiotec and opportunities for improvement in shared project management, with the participation of Fiotec, ATPI, Project Coordinators and Supporters; 3 - Institutional alignment between the boards of directors of Fiotec and INCQS, which involved the ATPI team, together with the Board of Directors of the institute and Fiotec.

It was the first time that INCQS held an event of this type with Fiotec. The initiative is part of a proposal by Fiotec, which is promoting integration workshops with all Fiocruz units. This format allows for direct and personalized contact with each unit, adapting discussions and alignments to the specificities of each one, strengthening institutional relations and seeking improvements in project management in a closer and more collaborative way.

For Fernanda Nicodemos, from the Technical Assistance for Institutional Projects at INCQS: "promoting integration and alignment between the INCQS and Fiotec teams is essential to strengthen management and increase the efficiency of institutional projects".

According to Vanessa Costa, technical director of Fiotec, the three meetings were very fruitful for clarifications and suggestions for improvement. "This was an important day of recognition among partners, including people who had only known each other by email for years, were able to meet in person. And this produces bonds and facilitates communication. It is the commitment of Fiotec's management to expand spaces for dialogue with Fiocruz units, this round of workshops in the units was just the first movement. I think we are on the right track for more efficient support for projects", he evaluates.

Currently, ATPI/INCQS manages 22 projects in execution and has three others in the initiation phase, in partnership with Fiotec. This collaboration reinforces the mutual commitment to excellence and innovation in supporting public health projects.
