At the end of October, Ceará State University (Uece), in Fortaleza, hosted the activities of the Participatory Strategic Planning Workshop of the Graduate Program in Family Health (Renasf) 2025-2028. The meeting took place as part of a project supported by Fiotec, which has already trained almost 590 people. Renasf, the Northeast Network for Family Health Training, is an initiative of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation in the region, in partnership with teaching and research institutions, as well as the state and city departments of Education, Health, Science and Technology.

The purpose of the workshop held on October 30 and 31 was to propose and elaborate the strategic objectives to be worked on in the next quadrennium (2025-2028). Six working groups were formed, divided into themes (Program 1; Program 2; Intellectual production and training; Impact; Internationalization and governance), with representatives of each nucleator, graduates, professors, students, coordinators and guests, to analyze the challenges and future perspectives based on the previously prepared research. Proposals were presented based on a document that was produced.

Representatives of Fiotec participated in two of the working groups, one focused on Program 2, which analyzed the pedagogical methodology of Planning, and another focused on governance. For Amanda Gomes and Andreia Rios, professionals from the institution's Projects team, being part of the Workshop provided a valuable learning opportunity. According to them, it was possible to understand in more depth the structure of the Northeast Network, its performance, flows, main needs and challenges for Fiotec in the execution of the project.

On the occasion, Roberto Wagner Freitas, general coordinator of Renasf, revealed that a new workshop is planned for December, when the planning for the next four years will be officially closed. "Fiotec's participation [in the workshop at the end of October] was strategic, since it has accompanied the management of the Renasf PG program project over several years. Having them present in the workshop helps to understand all the flows and demands that the project needs", he said.
