The Philanthropy Networkheld in São Paulo the tenth edition of CAPTA – Advanced Immersion in Fundraising, bringing together social projects and Third Sector institutions in a training on how to engage partners and donors in an effective and financially sustainable way.
Fiotec took to the event representatives of its Project Initiation teams, responsible at the institution for raising funds for projects developed by the Fiocruz units.
"The event allowed us to get in touch with several professionals from the Third Sector, providing a very valuable exchange of experiences. We were also able to learn a lot about the importance of fundraising for non-profit organizations and the means by which it can be put into practice", comments assistant Gabriela Arruda.
Over the course of a week, the immersion introduced participants to new techniques and tools that help mobilize new resources for social projects in various areas. According to analyst Carolina Canedo, "CAPTA 2024 allowed the exchange with different areas of the Third Sector and presented a culture of fundraising that is professional and strategically planned".
CAPTA 2024 offered in its program panels focused on the institutional planning necessary for fundraising, taking into account the legal aspects that involve the work; financial and accounting management of funding; the relationship between parties as a foundation in the fundraising processes; as well as practical tips on how to structure an agile fundraising plan.
"In addition to all the knowledge acquired through the speakers, it was enriching to learn a little about the work of other organizations and reflect on the techniques and tools of fundraising", highlights analyst Renata Alves, Gabriela's colleague in the International Project Initiation team at Fiotec
