
The 2nd edition of the National Congress of Foundations for Support to Higher Education Institutions (Confies) was held in Brasilia from November 6 to November 8. The event, held by the National Board of Foundations for Support to Higher Education Institutions and Scientific and Technological Research, brought together about 80 foundations, representing 25 states and the Federal District.
The meeting is a unique opportunity to hold a nationwide discussion on topics of great relevance to the daily life of foundations, with the participation of professionals, deputies, representatives of public bodies and specific ministries. In this edition, issues such as Future-se, CT&I budget crisis, Legal Framework, small foundations, endowment funds, among others, were addressed.
In addition, the professionals were able to exchange experiences, practices and difficulties that impact the foundations' performance, in the forums of the College of Attorneys, Accountants, Communication and Information Technology.
Fiotec was represented by its executive and administrative directors, Hayne Felipe and Marcelo Amaral, respectively; by the managers Evandro Maroni (IT), Alexandre Valinoti (Finance) and Luanara Damasceno (Quality); and by the professionals Marianna Magalhães (Legal) and Janaina Campos (Communication Department).
Opening and honors
The opening of Confies on the night of November 6 was marked by the presence of senators, deputies and research, technology and innovation authorities, who received honors for their work or partnership with Confies, The Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) was one of the honorees and was represented by José Antônio Silvestre Fernandes Neto, of Fiocruz Brasília.
Awards
During the congress, the II TV Confies Award occurred, in which Fiotec was the winner of the 3rd place with the video "Innovation in Project Management", produced by the young apprentices of the institution. This is the second consecutive year that the institution has registered a production prepared by young apprentices and won an award.
The novelty of this edition was the I Good Management Practices Award, an instrument to identify, recognize, disseminate and stimulate the achievement of successful, innovative and, replicable practices developed by the institutions, which contribute to the better management of the activities developed by the Support Foundations associated with Confies. Fiotec won the award through the initiative "Implementation of Participatory Strategic Planning", which has been working in the institution since last year.
