Last Friday (14/2), representatives of Fiotec participated in a videoconference that aimed to bring together the partners contemplated by the National Electric System Operator (ONS) in 2024 with projects that used resources from tax waivers. The Foundation manages a project contemplated by the National Program to Support Oncological Care (Pronon), with resources originating in income tax deductions.
During the conversation, Daniela Rosa, representative of ONS, presented the structure of the institution and spoke about its performance. Jorge Wallace then contextualized how the monitoring of the projects will be carried out by Baluarte Cultural, a partner in his management. The coordinator of Fiotec's Project Initiation team, Eliana Cavalcante, followed the discussions, as well as analyst Carolina Canedo.
The project in question, managed by Fiotec, had its technical construction carried out by the Gonçalo Moniz Institute (Fiocruz Bahia), with approval by the Ministry of Health. During the fundraising process, the Foundation had a partnership with the Fiocruz Fundraising Office in direct negotiation with companies enabled to make contributions from tax waivers.
The National Electric System Operator (ONS) is the agency responsible for coordinating and controlling the operation of electricity generation and transmission facilities in the National Interconnected System (SIN) and for planning the operation of the country's isolated systems, under the supervision and regulation of the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel).
The National Program to Support Oncological Care (Pronon) was designed to encourage the realization of oncological care projects. It is instituted by Law No . 12,715/2012, regulated by Decree No. 7,988/2013, with validity extended until 2026 by Law No. 14,564/2023.
