On 18/5, the Chief Executive Officer of Fiotec, Mauricio Zuma, visited the Consulate of Germany in Rio de Janeiro to sign the agreement for an international cooperation project between Fiocruz and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, supported by the institution. It is the project "Human Rights to Water and Sanitation".

At the time, Mauricio Zuma and the project analyst at Fiotec, Ana Carolina Gomes, were received by the German Consul General in Rio de Janeiro, Mr. Harald Klein, who represented the government of the country for the execution of the agreement. "I've been at Fiocruz for a while. It is an honor to be part of a project with a foundation that is so important to Brazil, "said Mr. Klein at the time.

The project
The goal of this project is to produce thematic reports on the human right to safe water and sanitation to the Human Rights Council and the General Assembly of the United Nations.

The research is coordinated by Dr. Leo Heller, from the Research Center René Rachou (Fiocruz Minas).The researcher holds the office of Special Rapporteur of the Office of the High Commissioner of the United Nations for Human Rights (OHCHR), the agency that represents the search for global commitment to human dignity ideals.
